just wanted to drop
you a note and tell you how please I am with the new SQL version of
Compass Opportunity Manager. I was skeptical of our abilities to move
the 75 users from the local version to the SQL version. With the help
of your support team the transition was flawless. It has been two
months since the move and I have had so little contact with them I’m
afraid they will forget who I am.
I think one of the big
benefits of the SQL version has been moving the users to the terminal
server. We are no longer dealing with issues created by sales reps
personal laptops. With the addition of the SSL firewall they can access
Compass from home just as they could with the local copy. For security
purposes we prohibit them accessing their local drives and printing to
their local printers. Everything runs through our servers where we can
keep an eye on it.

Key, Greer, Frawley,
Key, and Harris is a current customer of ours that allowed us to do an
initial assessment on their 13 HP laserjet printers and 2 HP deskjet
printers. On the date of the initial assessment, we set up the date of
the second assessment. Their office administrator agreed to determine
their actual monthly costs.
The assessment process
determined that this firm produces an average of 21,000 prints per
month, mostly on very old and slow HP printers. (One 4ppm printer was
producing over 3,000 pages per month.) After reviewing the numbers with
the firm administrator, it was determined that it would be best to
increase productivity and lower their costs at the same time, so we
chose a CPC agreement on 19 new FS-3900DN printers with extra paper
drawers, as well as one KM-1820 with extra drawer and fax option. This
allowed them to have all new machines, save $200.00 a month and increase
their productivity. We were able to pick up all their prints and while
saving them money, still make a profit ourselves. We could not have
done this without Compass’s TCO and Executive Summary Tools. We were
able to print off reports showing the customer where their monthly costs
were going and how we could help lower them. Compass makes the sales
process so easy.

John R. White Company,
a distributor of spices in Birmingham, is an existing customer of ours.
We did an initial assessment on their 8 black & white laser jet HP
printers and one color laser jet. At the time of the initial
assessment, we set a date for the second assessment and agreed that
their office manager would collect toner and service bills for us to
review at the end of the month.
The assessment showed
that they are producing an average of 13,000 pages per month. Their
copier contracts cover 3,000 copies per month with no overage in the
past year. Based on the savings I could show this company (going from
an average of $0.029 per page to $0.0135 per page) they were interested
in our agreement if we could also include their two copiers. Using
Compass we came up with 18,000 images with an overall savings of over
$300.00 a month to the firm. This MPS agreement was signed by the
customer on October 24, 2007.
